Newbee Emma (22) found H5 attractive

Attractive detached tower - work of the devil?

Forking looks, very attractive

Could there possibly be a more attractive Mismanagement?

After laying the trail on a very soggy Saturday, the Hares were over the moon with the RA who had gone to great lengths to arrange such splendid sunshine in which to bathe Sunday's Hashers.

A goodly bunch assembled in the car park of The Bell, along with 5 excitable mutts and all were well rested, thanks to the return to GMT and the luxury of an extra hour lying horizontally in our beds! We welcomed MKH3 hasher, Jam Rag and newbee Emma & Margo (newbee mutt) who were introduced by Jane.

After a satisfactorily muddled start the trail eventually led along the Bedford Road and into the glorious Forest Centre. Plentiful amounts of shiggy were successfully negotiated without serious mishap and the hashers enjoyed the VP across the magnificent Stewartby Lake, without anyone slipping in or necessitating the use of the life-saving rings.

The LP (Listening Point) was also observed - all were in awe of and dwarfed by, the 120m tall wind turbine which provides almost all the energy (plus solar panels) needed to run the Forest Centre.

Cyclopath would like to thank Lulu for his patience when laying the trail, she got a bit excited by all the fungi and took endless snaps! [insert some evidence ... ed]

The trail split to provide a short cut for the Knitting Circle but Forking was in two minds, as to which path he should take? He settled for the one which, in his opinion, offered the more attractive views (we're talking physical features here)!

Then On through the churchyard of St. Mary's, where, according to legend, the detached tower is the work of the Devil who tried to steal it. Finding it too heavy, he dropped it where it still remains.

Back to the garden at The Bell in good time where, after some wriggly manoeuvres in her car in the car park and to the consternation of other users, Jane joined us having attempted to adjust/remove/change a close-fitting item of underwear! Tut tut! [at this point hash flash should offer apologies ... ed] The goings-on in pub car parks on Sundays. Well it was the Hash House Harriers, enough said!

Down downs were awarded to:

The Hares, Jam Rag and to Ringer for 50 Park Runs - hooray!

Emma for being an enthusiastic Newbee, our initiation customs were tame when compared with the Uni Rugby girls' traditions.

And the old Mismanagement team for being old tossers according to the down down song!
