Oh the Grand old Duke Hot Shot a had a fine old hash he marched them up to the top of the hill and he marched them down again and when they were up they were up and when they were down they were down they were down and when they found a number check they ran down the hill again.
It seems this was the theme to run 1467 as after leaving the Dukes (formally the Dukes Head) we went straight up hill and then Ringer, The Count and Capt F all ran down the hill again.
From there we ran along the top of one of Heath and Reaches many sand pits trying to keep up with Lady P as she ignored all the number checks while the Count took them for her, the hare later found out that Lady P has passed the test and is now fully eligible for an exemption certificate which the Count hasn't sorted (maybe he's worried she'll use it at home).
Further along the trail the hare showed the pack a nice gateway which they ran through and then ran down the hill only to find out that they needed to then ran back up while this was happening Blow felt, Double Entry and Golden Globes lead a team of fearless hashers on a short cut which lead to a trim trail tested by Leveret the day before the hash as always showed themselves off in their best style and looked very trim by the end.
[Messrs Sue Grabbit and Run solicitors acting for Double Entry (DE) have contacted us demanding a retraction, apology and correction relating to the previous paragraph, all of which we are happy to give. At no time did DE join or lead a short cut on Run 1467. We accept that at great personal discomfort she was dragged around the full trail by the appropriately named Tugger. We apologise unreservedly for any distress caused by the Hare's reporting error]
Back to the Dukes and the three R.A.s tried to give out down downs in the style of Forking so all three of them got one as Bangers and Goodhead, Blow felt and Tim for being perfect also in true forking style there was one left over which the Count and Hot Shot helped out with.
On on till next time
