First a brief word about the industrial history of Stewartby... It was back in 1897 that James London first produced viagra in Stewartby. His factory continued making it for many years until around 1990 when a rival called Pfizer found a way to make it more efficiently and in greater volume. That spelt the end of the Stewartby works and it fell into disrepair. Sadly all that is left today are the monuments erected to James London. In the village there is also a small museum dedicated to James London where you can learn of the history of viagra production. The museum also has a gift shop where the product can be purchased.

What a gem of a venue this is found by Blow Felt. The runners circled up ready for the off. Atomic Titten was late after being tempted away by sailors to a different club. Newbie Tim introduced himself. Off we went, but which direction??? .... because a number of roads fan out like the spokes from the centre of a wheel and they all needed to be checked.

Eventually finding the correct trail, off we went. A few number-checks, falsies, and we were halted at the viewpoint of the monuments erected to James London, inventor of viagra.

Then under the railway and through some rather damp trail (wellies recommended). Eventually back into the village and back to the Club. Big thanks to Depth Charge for checking out all the false trails and number checks.

Back at Stewartby club there are cakes from Lady P and Major Jon (yum yum thank you). Circle up - It's St Patrick's Day so down-downs are Guinness; awarded to the hares, Blow Felt and Edwina-123, newbie Tim, birthday girl Princess Theakstons [who passed on the guinness this once ... ed], Captain-F for his magnificent 900 runs and for getting lost in the gent's toilets, Atomic Titten for being tempted away by sailors, Count Roadkill for chivalry, Shuffle Cock for animal abuse, Bell End Too for something else (oops I forgot what it was).

On On to run 1467 at Heath and Reach.
