Well, Hash 1451 saw us greeted with a cold and breezy but bright morning.

The HM called the circle just as Hot Shot arrived, closely followed by Subby.

Undeterred by the late comers, Knobber welcomed one and all and then subjected us to GM Capt F's 'On this date' trivia and equally well received humorous anecdotes!

Double Entry kindly lent Blow Felt one of her muffs – earmuffs that is!

No Birthdays or anniversaries, so I gave a quick description of the shiggy to come and off we went.

Despite being severly restricted in her bondage gear, Underlay certainly set off at a heck of a pace. Shame it was in the wrong direction. As was pretty much every other hasher.

The exceptions seemed to be Blow Felt and Globes who assumed the mantle of FRBs, until Underlay caught up with them.

A few numbers kept the pack together as we headed for the lakes where a 'Classic' held check allowed the Count and Hot Shot to blatantly ignore the number and wait for everyone else to catch up.

Knobber and Clap Trap were the only victims of the false trail here as everyone else headed off to the woods. A couple more numbers this time caught by Edwina, led us to another check and an electric fence. Nobody seemed keen to lick it and see if it worked.

Off again, and this time Hot Shot found the falsie. Everyone else went through the wood to a long stretch, where the overnight drizzle had washed away two numbers leading to the second Classic Held Check. This time Forking was the casualty of the false trail with ClapTrap again a victim, everyone else seemed to have an inkling of where the trail was going.

More missed numbers (this time very obvious) and we crossed towards Biggleswade. Down a new version of a footpath and then finally back across the road towards the Cock!

Unfortunately I missed timed the date of this run, it should really have been next week as that's when the TR Register meet (3rd Sunday of month) and we could have encouraged some of their members to join the circle! I'm sure there are a few who remember that run, especially the worried looking couple sat in the corner.

Down Downs were a strange affair by RA Forking, though surprisingly pleasant.

One for the Hare.

One for Globes and her strange lingering taste.

One for Hot Shot and Subby for lateness.

And one for pretty much everyone else, not sure what for, but then again the RA had no idea either!!

On On to 1452 and The Red Lion in Breachwood Green with Bangers and Forking.
