Well it all started off so well. Yours truly stepped out the day before the run with my maps in my hand to lay the trail, so far so good.

After that things went a bit wrong. Firstly I like to lay number checks using the number of the hash, this I had forgotten after a little thought I decided it was run 1411 and not run 1441 which Rapid will confirm meant there were more ones than fours and he was always the one.

Now we move on to problem number two. Even though I had two maps I got lost I saw some very pretty areas but they weren't meant to be on the trail. Even now I'm not sure where I went wrong but I did ( note to self must use pub again and get the trail right. Maybe I'll get Mini Mo to read the map ).

Anyway the weather was good so on the day of the hash a safety briefing was given. Sadly our R.A. Blow Felt felt that there should have been more any he didn't know where the exits were. The on out was called and Ringer fresh from another park run took the lead closely followed by Rapid and Oliver wanting more. Rapid soon got more in the shape of a number check.

Further on the trail we found our resident athlete Ringer ( two runs in a weekend ) waiting for a bus; the nerve of some people and then on to check. At this point Rapid felt there should have been a number check and ran to the back; another athlete in training ( you can spot these park runners ).

As we followed the trail a number of our walkers a short cut across the fields and arrived at a held check which the Count and Forking decided was not for them. Anything for a down down those two.

Along the trail we went and in to a field full of cows or to be more precise bulls here the hash found three exits. Forking became confused and became penned in and Rapid tried them all, up a slight incline and Rapid found yet another number check this is where the hare split the pack the walkers taking a shorter route to the pub and the F.R.B.'s stormed up the hill and then only a little way up down they came again in order to join the walkers and return to the inn together.

So what have I learned from this trail? Well that's for me to know and for you to find out on my next trail.

On on till next time.
