Bikes in various states of road-worthiness (or otherwise) were unloaded from cars & trailers: folded bikes with flat tyres, son's bikes lacking front brakes, gears & bells! Bikes surprised to be out after a year lounging undisturbed in garages.
Cycles mounted, walking boots laced, the Hash set off for the Forest Centre. The walkers & the cyclists followed their different routes and all enjoyed the Goldilocks conditions: not too hot, not too cold & not too windy, just right! THANKS RA!
Miscellany of musings
- the carved seats, otters, a swan, a narrow boat, a frog were beautiful
- Knobber never says No to a jelly baby
- we walked near the big windmill thing
- Banger's bike has awesome tyres
- I had a coffee & squeezed in a delicious gluten-free & dairy-free Victoria sponge
- the Count remarked that his back one had never been as hard. Cyclo, noticing a deficiency enquired, "would you like a bit more on the front?"
- Knobber warned, "Beware of the mud" & promptly fell over
THANKS TO
Depth Charge for pace-setting & for pot-hole warnings
Blow-felt for guiding the walkers
Lady P for wonderful fruit cake & apple scones
Kyle at The Bell for inflating the bouncy castle
Bangers & Lady P for tirelessly picking up loom bands
and CONGRATULATIONS to Julianna (on her 2nd Hash) for finding her balance & cycling legs!
