Rising Sun, Potton

Hare: Depth Charge

HASHERS: 15  MUTTS: 2  APRES: 3

It was certainly a warm evening

Bangers and Millie shared a birthday

Surprise, surprise!
Guess who we found at home?

Where there's a Mill Lane there's (the remains of) a mill

On the parched and dusty trail

Was the check held or hovered?

Ringer was naughty twice, allegedly...

...but not as naughty as Underlay it seems...

...and as for Lady P, well really

PHEW, WHAT A SCORCHER! It's official.

On the hottest recorded day of the year what better idea than for Mad dogs and English Hashers to go out in the mid (well late) day Sun.

HM Nik Nak called a warm circle and after welcoming Birthday Boy Bangers and Birthday Girl Millie, there was a mad rush for the on out. Well less of a mad rush, more of a gentle meander.

Early FRB'ing from Rapid and Edwina, led us up to Mill Lane. The numbers kept everyone in check and some new faces such as Double Entry, Lady P and Nik Nak fell victim, allowing Shuffle to catch up

Into the Woods and some respite from the sun, meant that Underlay and Major Jon also picked up a number, just outdoing Pongo!

A quick rest underneath the Sandy Heath transmitter led to a long run back along the newly paved Potton to Sandy cycle path. Newly layed and with new bollards placed that day. Newly cleaned too, which meant a few numbers were washed away by the workers – Rapid was rather please about that.

On-Inn back to the Rising Sun where we caught up with Shagpile and Flo and OverFlo revisiting too.

Down Downs for the Hare, A naughty Ringer, an even naughtier Underlay, a not so naughty Bangers, and a reasonably naughty Lady P.

The RA also helped celebrate the invention of the typewriter too!

On On to the Royal Oak at Roxton, with Lady P and Underlay.
