Aren't we a generous bunch of comedians?

PROLOGUE: A few months ago Lou Reed, the musical legend, and one of my all-time Rock heroes finally 'went to The Apollo'. Then, on Saturday whilst laying the trail, a 'wander-ous sign' appeared before me, and my mind became filled with a heavenly throbbing bass riff...

We Took A 'Walk On The Wildside'

F.C. came out of Dunstable - Bedfordshire
laid his trail out across Kensworth way
A false trail here - and a back check there
The trail was headin' everywhere

Chorus 1: F.C. said: "Hey! Hashers, come take my walk on the wildside" He said: "Hey! Hashers, take my walk on the wildside"
And all the Pack sang: "On, On-On. On, On-On-On On, On-On. On, On-On-On, On - On back!"

The GM, HM and RA failed to show
'praps it was too far for them to go
But never mind, we saw the signs
Ringer stepped in: "The show's all mine!"

Chorus 2: He said: "Hey! F.C., let's take your walk on the wildside" "Hey! F.C., let's take your walk on the wildside" And all the Pack sang: "On, On-On. On, On-On On, On-On. On, On-On - On back!"

The trail in blue was laid out nice and neat
The Beer stop found - was an exotic treat
The 5 Baah said: "Follow!"
Right up to a fxxkin' great hollow!

Chorus 3 F.C. said: "Hey! Hashers, come take my walk on the wildside" He said: "Hey! Hashers, take my walk on the wildside"
And all the Pack sang: "On, On-On. On, On-On-On On, On-On. On, On-On-On, On - - - On Inn!"

Leroy came out of Leighton
In the Circle, he was everybody's darlin'
A down - down here and a wise crack there
The Circle was the place where

Chorus 3: He said: "Hey, Hashers, you're gonna 'ave a Down - Down!" "Hey, Hashers, you're gonna 'ave your Down - Down!"
And all the Pack sang: Down, down - down, down de down Down de down, down de down de down, down de down down

Forkin' and Bangers never made the meet
As local lads - they were indiscrete
Beer and chips by seats - on show
"Bangers", said Leroy "had pulled a 'mussel'!" Oh no?

Repeat Chorus 3

Meppershall Mike came and hit the streets
Looking for sole food; bought a cake to eat
Then Pussy's turn was soon to follow
You should have seen her 'suck - swallow'.

Chorus 4: Then Leroy said: "Hey, Hashers, that's the end of the Down - Downs!" "Hey, Hashers, that's the end of the Down - Downs!" And all the Pack sang: "On: "On, On-On. On-On, On, On-On, On, On-On. On-On. On, On-On"

[FC's blue trail upset the locals
Thank The Lord they didn't hear his vocals
We don't want to poison your dog
We only came here for a beer and a jog .. scribe]

ON ON to TODDINGTON

EPILOGUE:I can't be arsed to write a lot more 'cos you'll only get bored. But you lot who couldn't be arsed to 'Go West', we all agreed - you'd missed a treat - 'Undulating Hills'. And all this fun for only £2!

How The GM Ran in New York...or did he?
