Run # 749

Sunday 8th January 2006

The Boot, Langford

Hares: Flo & Overflo

HASHERS: 27

'Twas the week after Christmas, and all through the house,
No Hashers were stirring, not even a mouse.

The snow it was falling, that cold Saturday morn,
By the time we got up, the whole lot had gorn!

We set out quite early, at least half past one,
By sun down the laying it still wasn't done.

So Sunday we set out to finish it proper,
By the time we got back we didn't 'alf come a cropper.

For Hashers were eagerly waiting to start,
The GM chastised us, Boring Old Fart!

"How did you manage to be the last ones we greet,
When you live just a mere hundred yards up the street?"

On out from the pub was masses of fun,
In all directions the Hashers did run.

To cut a very long story short, the Hash it was a good 'en,
Got back just on the dot of 12, just as the Boot did open.

So the loop that we added on Sunday morn, we decided to knock on the head,
The run was too long, what a pain we both thought, we could have stayed in bed.

So it was over to our wonderful GM, who passed the circle to the RA,
Down downs went to the Hares of course, and White Rabbit for her Birthday.

Well I'm struggling to rhyme now, so I'm going to go,
It's ta ra from us both, here's to run Seven Five Oh!

(PS Other down downs were awarded, but if you think I can get something to rhyme with molestation, groping melons, and the like you've got another think coming!! Anyway, the following Hashers were suitably awarded:

Pongo and the GM for the anniversary of their first run at the Boot;
Count Roadkill, Bell End and WWW;
I think G-String also got a Hashit, but I was losing the plot by then!)

ON-ON from Flo and Overflo
