My Birthday Bash/Hash, would involve a swim at the Blue Lagoon in Arlesey. Not this year I thought; inappropriate this year after the recent events? Anyway on a happy note.

The run was a success on 3 counts, good turn out, good weather, good laying by the Hare. Yes Pecker achieved his one ambition a 1 hour run. The pack gathered, Pongo gave the horn to some Harriettes, we ran off towards the railway & found the trail thru the tunnel under the track. Some early sneaky Hare tricks caught some FRBs & to find the RA at the front only to find his moment of fame shattered by the first 6 to return to the back of the pack. Plenty of woody areas investigated we arrive at Norton Berry, were the hare realised some back markers had gone a hunting for alternative modes of transport in the equestrian centre. We Hashed on to Letchworth past some very old houses behind the Norton church, dating back to 1832 & into fields of wheat for a steady bounce down the Norton to Baldock hill. The pack split at the veteran check at the bottom of the hill, our placement was parallel with the A1M, my plan was to get the back markers to wave at the front runners from adjacent bridges, who noticed it Paintball. We arrived at the pub as mentioned previously 1 hour from the on, just to reiterate my claim to fame whilst it lasts.

Down Downs plentiful so many I got pissed and was so minging I fell off my bike & performed a commando role (oh luvey, 'to be or not to be'? Ed) to the applause of G-String, who also was minging. We shall not dob in Lunchbox. He can explain his own failing on the night. Thank the lord the local constabulary was hiding elsewhere. We had a Top Night - well I did!
