A fine evening for a run around the outskirts of Toddington. I left the W slightly early and by the grace of First Capital Connect was able to start setting the trail 1 hour before the start. Maybe not quite "live", more the Red button?

The trail headed away from Alma Farm and crossed the road, looping back via a small park. This caused much confusion, as all were convinced that the trail would head through the park and into the woods, but it did not. From here it was further down Leighton road and across into a field. At this point I was able to join the hash, having laid around 3/4 of the trail. At the small troll bridge (we didn't see any small trolls), the walkers, Lush and PP joined me on a short cut by the stream, whilst the runners (and they actually were runners), followed the trail which looped around The Glebe ably directed by Leroy's horn. Having pointed Lush and PP the right way (which they chose to ignore), I rejoined the runners, then left them to the next loop through the back alleys of Toddington and all the way back to The Glebe. Here, in a rare insightful moment Underlay commented "This looks familiar". And she was not wrong. However this time the check near the fire station had been deviously replaced by an arrow pointing the way through some more alleys back to Chez Rapid.

All safely back, it was time for a beer, some wine served with lasagna and rice pudding.

Not bad at all.
