The trail was laid with the aid of Shagpile who had certain views on where and how a TNM hash should be laid. Being a woman, I ignored all he said and carried on.

Saturday evening arrived and the turn out flourished at the last minute to a group of 11 which included a knitting circle of two and three puppies. The hash circled up and found that Tarzan was a virgin to TNM. The on on was then called and Captn F and PP led the pack out towards the golf course. Captn F found the first false trail so PP headed down the nearby field towards the road. Lost Cause didn't believe that PP was on the right trail so headed off on his own only to be called back by the hare.

On reaching the road, the knitting circle was directed on a shortcut whilst the rest of the pack followed Twiglet into Pegnut wood. Unfortunately this was the wrong way so then PP led the way along the golf course and eventually met with the knitting circle. The trail then led out towards Deepdale, and on the way Captn F taught Knotch how play the grass flute much to her amusement. Once at Deepdale, Submissive found the trail leading up towards the heath but soon ended up going the wrong way. By this time the rest of the hash had caught up and split up looking for the real trail around the base of the Sandy transmitter. True to form, Submissive found the next few false trails.

Finally, the pack headed back down the Old Bedford Road, where Captn F and PP found the false trails until Knotch led the way on to the On Inn.

Back at the house, the hash was suitably fed and watered, and then circled up. Down downs were given to almost everyone present, most of the reasons have since been forgotten by the hare.

On on to the next TNM on Friday 26th August.
